Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
— Romans 12:2

About Weird Like Jesus
Being a Christian and taking that bold walk of faith can be frightening at best. You have no idea where God is going to take you and you surely don’t know what it actually means to, “Be still and know…” Yet, there is a longing; an urgency in our body to know our purpose, to live with joy in the midst of chaos, and to coexist with our enemies. As we take the tumultuous journey down the cracked uneven road to redemption, we have no idea what our…trusting? Father has in store for us. It is okay to be apprehensive, it is okay to wonder “just where is this road taking me anyway?” and it is completely normal to want to jump off and start over. I assure you, as I traveled down said path, I too was apprehensive beyond measure on my walk towards obedience and faith. As I look back, the thrill is the destination God had waiting for me, making the trek well worth my time, even if I doubted him in the slightest. My hope is to share the Gospel, enlighten, and help you find the God who is the true joy in the midst of your trials.
“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” John 14:6-7

Good For The Soul Reads
The Holy Bible
The Book of Psalms is one of my most favorite books in the Bible. As a young girl I watched my mom weep over these sweet reassuring yet powerful songs. I didn’t know at the time that she was so broken and seeking solace and strength through every chapter she read. As an adult, I too have found sustenance while weeping over the same words as my mother. The Bible is a definite must read I recommend for everyone. All the answers of life reside in this powerful book.
All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
When God Doesn’t Fix It
This book literally talked me off of several ledges. At first I thought Laura’s story couldn’t possibly relate to mine, but thank God I waited for it, the point where her words spoke to me and I began to sort through my own life’s trials. If you think God’s silence means He isn’t listening to you, think again. He’s a million steps ahead of us.
Consider it pure joy, my brother’s and sister’s whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
It’s Not Supposed To Be This Way
I remember desperately seeking God after my abortion and when I really felt like I could breathe again, God gently let me know that my abortion was not the only tragedy I’d have to endure in my lifetime. Lysa Terkeurst nailed this read and soothed my many emotions during the downfall of my marriage which ironically mimicked her’s quite a bit. This book gave me hope, courage, and understanding on what it looks like to trust God’s plan for me.
And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.
1 Peter 5:10
Forgiven and Set Free
This wonderful book by Linda Cochrane aided me throughout my second Post Abortion Recovery therapy. If you are unfamiliar with the Bible, this study will familiarize you with many passages from the Bible with every word assuring you of God’s unending love and grace. If your decision to abort your baby has put you through turmoil, I advise you to seek a Post Abortion Recovery program or pick up this book and start your own personal healing at home.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Dad’s Suffer From Abortion Too
Don’t think for a minute a father is exempt from grieving the loss of his son/daughter by abortion. Fathers need healing too. My husband found forgiveness, peace, and redemption through Healing a Father’s Heart Abortion Recovery Program. It is okay for men to feel, be heard, and be seen. You don’t have to be a ‘YES’ Christian all the time. No is a safe word. Boundaries is a powerful read that breaks you free from the chanis of being “a good Christian.”
